No. All instructional seminars for The Collective are designed to be in-person at our Dublin office space. We believe in the power of face-to-face interaction and collaborative learning, which is why we have intentionally structured this program as an in-person experience.
Weekly office hours will be held virtually to allow for flexibility in scheduling.
-
Participants who miss a two hour instructional seminar are responsible for obtaining session materials and catching up on missed content. We recommend:
Connecting with peer cohort members to get notes
Get a brief catch-up with Ashley or Melissa during office hours
Reviewing any shared digital resources from the missed session

Yes, we welcome those who want to be insurance and fee-for-service based and you will get expertise from both perspectives!
While Ashley and Melissa will support you on the credentialing process it is important to remember they are not a credentialing service. We will strongly encourage those hoping to credential with insurance companies to prioritize starting that paperwork from day one to have their best shot at having finalized contracts by the end of the cohort.
A note about credentialing pathways:
Lotus Counseling Collective is supportive of autonomy in business decision making and we acknowledge the inherent problems with utilizing platforms that devalue the invaluable work of our profession and threaten to impact the sustainability of small practices. This program might not be the right fit for you if you are hoping to partner with venture-capital backed platforms like Alma, BetterHelp, Headway, Grow, etc. instead of individually credentialing with insurance companies.

Ashley and Melissa’s expertise in building successful practices is rooted in extensive experience and proven results. They have personally established and grown thriving private practices, and guided numerous therapists through the process of starting and expanding their practices. While they cannot guarantee success of any business due to the nature of the market and various external factors, rest assured that they have the skills to help.

As soon as you have established the necessities to run a practice (EIN, liability insurance, practice management software), you can technically begin seeing your first clients!
We anticipate that most folks will be ready to launch at the end of the four month commitment, but many will likely have sessions prior to that and some may not be ready to launch until several months after the completion of the program!
The exact timing is highly individual and influenced by things such as:
Your prior experience
Speed of completing administrative tasks
Personal readiness
Specific practice niche
Marketing strategy effectiveness
